Tutorials

The MEGACourse offers tutorials on selected topics in Applied Epidemiology and Biostatistical Methods (of relevance to HIV, STDs, TB & Viral Hepatitis (non-enteric) Epidemiology).

Tutorial topics include the following:

Basic, intermediate and advanced Epidemiology and Biostatistical methods often used in applied HIV Epidemiology studies:
-	Sampling in Epidemiologic studies;
-	Outbreak investigation analyses;
-	Analyses of categorical/binary data (incl. comparison of proportions);
-	Life-table and Kaplan-Meir analyses;
-	Reliability/inter-rater agreement analyses;
-	Standardization analyses, etc;
-	Simple, stratified and multivariate/adjusted analyses (incl. linear and multiple regression, multiple logistic and polytonous logistic regression);
-	Analyses of cohort and case-control study data (including matched studies) using multiple logistic regression, Cox proportional-hazards regression, etc);
-	Analyses of HIV/infectious disease outbreak and social/partner network investigation data;
-	Social network and cluster analyses;
-	Time-series analyses;
-	Path analyses;
-	Evaluation analyses of surveillance systems and screening programs (incl.analyses of completeness and timeliness of reporting; analyses of sensitivity and specificity of case definitions, matching algorithms and screening tests);
